CASA GINESTRA OFFERS A RELAXING AND COMFORTABLE HOLIDAY IN LE MARCHE'S GOLDEN TRIANGLE

Casa Ginestra is fully equipped to ensure your holiday is as relaxing and as comfortable as you would like it to be.  The house is located in the heart of the golden triangle roughly 45 minutes from the Adriatic beaches and 30 minutes from hikes and swims in mountain lakes.  In winter skiing and snowboarding at Bolognola and Sarnano are less than 1 hour away..

To get you off to a stress free start we can arrange with our house managers for a starter pack of essential food items to be ready for you at the house when you arrive.  The beds will be made up with cool and comfortable egyptian cotton sheets and there will be a supply of clean towels in the bathrooms.  The pool will normally be open between mid May and mid October.

The kitchen at Casa Ginestra is fully equipped with an ample supply of cooking utensils, pans, crockery, microwave oven, dishwasher, etc. and there is a barbeque available in the garden.  There is a PS2 games console and a Wii games console both with a selection of games available in the study together with a small book library and a DVD library.  There is also a CD player (please bring your own CDs) and an ipod dock for your convenience.

Our house managers live at the end of the track beside the house and are happy to help with any questions you may have or advice you may need.  There is a house book in the study with information on local restaurants, places to visit, etc.

This part of Le Marche is rightly famous for being a charming and tranquil haven in which to relax and re-charge the batteries.  But the area is also well known for having a vibrant and very friendly local community that offers visitors a wide range of things to see and do.  So, if you'd like to balance your R&R with some memorable local experiences, we recommend you contact Pauline at Inside Rural Italy to see what's happening - and what could be arranged - during your time here.

Pauline - an Australian local resident who speaks fluent Italian - has wide local knowledge complemented by a broad range of contacts in the community.  She specialises in arranging personalised activities that reflect visitors' interests, tastes and preferences.  For example:

  • Truffle hunting in the woods - lectures about truffles by the president of the local Truffle Association - truffle cuisine demonstrations.
  • Marchigiani cooking - traditional dishes - such as hand-made pasta - demonstrated by a local contadini's wife.
  • Celebration dinners.
  • Guided tours of local museums and churches (including the magnificent Crivelli paintings in Monte San Martino).
  • Guided walks in the mountains.
  • Shopping 'outlet' tours ( Le Marche is famous for it's high quality hand-made shoes).
  • Visits to local vineyards.
